Dr Kyoko Shirato completed her under graduate medical training at the University of New South Wales. She subsequently completed her post graduate training in dermatology in Adelaide, where she currently practices general dermatology. She is a member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and the American Academy of Dermatology. 

She has published in medical journals regarding variety of topics including rosacea, hair loss and genetic skin conditions.

Her area of interest include acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer and laser medicine.  She sees both adult and paediatric patients. 

As a dermatologist, Dr Kyoko Shirato understands the importance of healthy skin and the impact of skin conditions on patient's physical and psychological well being. She places importance on good communication and involves her patients in decision making process so that they feel empowered when managing their own skin condition. 

Her private practice is located in Windsor Gardens and she also has public appointment at refugee health centre in Adelaide CBD.
